It’s interesting to revisit this topic two years later. I believed at the time that independant driving was a good thing and in many ways I still do. However has it made the test any harder? I don’t think so. None of my pupils have ever had any trouble with it and it is quite easy. So I don’t think it has achieved what it set out to do.

The best driving school will find a way to make driving students interested in what they are being taught. This is much easier than it sounds, of course, but it is nevertheless something that can be accomplished.

New format is great. Most learners find it easy because they are usually aware of local roads anyway so for them to read road sign and follow is no probleb.
